Trelleborg Oil & Marine Hoses offers bonded hose solutions for the offshore transport of crude oil and petroleum products for terminals worldwide.

“One team, two world-class hose factories in France and Brazil, serving the global oil and gas transfer and offloading business. In Sao Paulo, Brazil we have organized and massively invested in our newly acquired site to enable us to deliver the most advanced and robust OCIMF 1991, GMPHOM 2009 and API 17K hoses solutions from Trelleborg.”

For over 100 years, Trelleborg has been a global industrial company developing world-leading solutions in advanced polymer technology. Our research and development centres around the world are constantly searching for new and better solutions for sealing, damping and protecting. Thanks to extensive knowledge of our customers and their industries, Trelleborg is able to provide unrivalled expertise and comprehensive application knowledge.

Trelleborg is a Swedish group organised around four business areas: Trelleborg Engineered Systems, Trelleborg Automotive, Trelleborg Wheel Systems and Trelleborg Sealing Solutions.

Trelleborg is present in 40 countries and employs 20,000 people. ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified, Trelleborg runs over 120 manufacturing plants.

Trelleborg Oil & Marine Hoses develops and manufactures bonded hose solutions for the offshore transport of crude oil and petroleum products for terminals worldwide. Trelleborg Oil & Marine hoses are qualified according to OCIMF 1991 and GMPHOM 2009 for internal pressure of 15 to 21 bars with internal diameter from 150mm (6in) to 900mm (36in). The acquisition of a Brazilian company in 2011 enlarged and completed our range of products and technologies.Trelleborg Oil & Marine products:

Since its inception in 1975, Trelleborg has developed a full KLELINE and SEALINE portfolio of single and double-carcass solutions, in compliance with OCIMF 1991 and GMPHOM 2009. We have fulfilled the requirements related to tanker and FPSO offshore offloading: tandem, reeling, chute, catenary, floating flare for shallow and deep-water projects. For long service life and challenging applications, we have developed in 2008 TRELLINE API 17K for floating and submarine hoses.

Since 2000 we, jointly with SBM offshore, have developed the TRELLINE – oil offloading lines (OOL) transfer system. This system, for long service operation of 10 to 25 years and in diameters up to 36in, pioneers the use of bonded hoses to provide the cargo transfer link between a deep water moored FPSO and its adjacent deep water export terminal.

For most deepwater applications the flexible TRELLINE system renders the use of rigid steel pipelines or flexible unbonded long length systems obsolete. It is also a most economic and easily installed system requiring minimal equipment. As of today we have built over 1000 TRELLINE hoses and executed several API 17K certified projects in both shallow and deep water all over the world.

In 2003 we launched REELINE, the first large-diameter hose designed specifically to be reeled and built without nipples and with integrated flanges combined with integrated bend stiffeners. It is available with either OCIMF or API 17K certification. Our REELINE systems have an impressive long service life track record.

In 2006 we qualified and delivered the flexible water intake hose: the first large bore water suction hose with integrated hypochlorine lines to cool down the FPSOs with the ability to pump cool water over 100m depth along with long service life. API 17K certification is also available.

In 2009 we launched the CRYOLINE LNG development project to meet our customer demands and allow them to exploit offshore (remote) gas fields through FLNG. CRYOLINE LNG is being developed to cover the full spectrum of offloading configuration including aerial, side by side, tandem, floating and submarine.

Combining its unrivalled expertise in both composite and rubber-bonded hoses, Trelleborg has developed dedicated offshore LNG transfer systems.

CRYOLINE LNG is a key component for innovative offshore LNG offloading solutions, based on API 17K and EN 1474-2 standard.

Features include:

It will be ready for LNG and cryogenic service in extreme operating conditions and severe fatigue generated by sea motion.

Trellborg offers submarine and floating hoses for the most stringent applications, based on API 17K and OCIMF. CRYOLINE LPG hoses are specially designed for LPG transfer in flowline, shallow water, CALM and reel applications.

In 2008 we developed and successfully commissioned CRYOLINE LPG (butane and propane) as our customers reported that OCIMF LPG hoses were not able to last more than six months in the harsh sea environment combined with a severe fatigue for the LPG FPSO and terminals.

Trelleborg has a strong track record of continuous service in demanding environments for LPG transfer.

Trelleborg Fluid Handling Solutions is committed to a collaborative approach to the development of hose management systems.

Trelleborg Oil & Gas specialises in the provision of cutting-edge large bore flexible hose systems that have been specially optimised for use in marine applications.

The first floating liquefied natural gas platforms (FLNGs) are set to come on line during 2017, harnessing vast quantities of previously untapped sources of energy.

Moving liquefied natural gas (LNG) production to an offshore setting presents a uniquely difficult set of challenges for the offshore oil and gas industry, particularly when it comes to the design and construction of a floating liquefied natural gas platforms (FLNGs).

Moving LNG production to an offshore setting certainly presents a serious set of challenges for the offshore oil and gas industry, particularly when it comes to the design and construction of FLNG facilities which need to maintain the utmost levels of safety and give increased flexibility to LNG production while withstanding the effects of winds, waves and currents in the open seas.

Natural gas is today recognised as the energy of the future and therefore a cost-effective means to produce and transport the natural gas from the producers (for example, Malaysia, Australia, Indonesia) to the users (for example, Japan, China) is a prerequisite for the world economic development and environmental protection.

Trelleborg's fluid-handling operation, the leading supplier of innovative flexible bonded hoses for the crude oil, chemicals and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) offshore industries, has been awarded the prestigious EN1474-2 accreditation following the development of a revolutionary hose design for use in the transfer of LNG between floating terminals and carriers. It is the first product of its kind in the world to receive this accreditation.

Swiline API Trelleborg's oil and marine hoses operation is once again pushing the boundaries of technology for the sector, this time with the launch of a dedicated seawater intake hose engineered specifically to meet the unique requirements of floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) extraction facilities.17K accreditation guarantees performance in the most demanding conditions.

Drawing on 40 years of experience in dynamic lines and hoses, Trelleborg, the leading global supplier of products for harsh processing environments, has developed a new hose ideally suited to applications involving corrosive chemicals and aromatic solvents.
